HIKE for ALS a Resounding Success!

This year's HIKE for ALS was a huge success.  Almost $70,000 was raised by more than 300 participants who hiked the beautiful trails at the Kortright Centre in Woodbridge.  The weather was great making it a wonderful day for people to come out, support a good cause and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Following the HIKE participants were treated to a spread of deli sandwiches donated by Fontana Gardens and a delicious assortment of deserts from St. Philip's Bakery.  There were lots of prizes to be won as well.

Thank you to all the participants and a special thank you to Dr. Heather Houston (pictured above) and her team "Heather's Baby Boomers".  Heather's friends, family and co-workers from York Central in Richmond Hill made up almost half the people in attendance.

Thank you to everyone who came out to show their support!  We look forward to seeing you again next year.
